I was looking for a broom for my Harry Potter theme at work. I came across BIG LOTS enchanted broom. I could not find any videos at the time of this broom and how it works. So guess what? I ordered it online for pick up. Well, I bought it, and the Hubby picked it up for me. There was only a few left. I’m glad that I got one. It was not what I expected. It came in a box. A small box. I opened the box and it was pretty simple. There was a round mobile yellow piece that needed four AA batteries, three pieces to make the broom handle, and the bottom piece of the broom. The pieces were easily put together within minutes. The tricky part was putting in the batteries. Had to use a screwdriver to open up the battery port. This was a fun little piece. And everyone laughed when it was turned on. I wish there was more sounds other than the laugh of the witch. I also would have loved the option to lower the volume or turn off the sound. It is motion and sound sensitive, so it will move and make noise when triggered. Overall, it’s a pretty neat little enchanted broom. A little pricey for the quality, which is mostly plastic, but it is light and not too heavy. This is a fun addition to any them. Went to CVS to do the weekly coupon shop, but scored more when I came across their summer haul sale… everything was at 75% off but it was more like 85% off. Even scored some $8-10 off $50-70 coupons to make the summer haul even better! So for my family and friends, guess what you’re getting for Christmas? 😂 Hahaha… it’s summer all year round in California, so it works out. For reals! Target sells bathing suits in December… 🤯! Even scored some perfumes at 75%+ off and the reviews are about 4.75 stars on these scents! (Added the extra .25 star from moi.) Check it out! Guess the price for all this?Total REGULAR PRICE: $549.54 AFTER coupons and the percent off, paid only: $86.52! That’s 85% saved! Did you find some awesome deals at CVS? Please share and tell me all about your adventure. ;)
Happy Shopping! So I really like shopping at CVS. It used to be Walgreens, but their couponing and the way they’ve applied them is a little bit more tedious. So I do a lot of my couponing at CVS. Plus I score free extra bucks each week, so I take advantage of that extra $4 that they send to me. Except this time I wanted to try the online service. I have done it before where I just bought something that would use up the $4 reward, but I wanted to see how the process would work with extra bucks. This was my shopping list for today. CVS 9/19 Buy 2 U by Kotex Liners, 18 ct, $1.89 reg. price Buy 5 = $7.55 Use $3 off $6 KOTEX ON APP COUPON (for pick up only) =Pay $4.55, get $2 back ($0.51 each) *$0.42 each if you get 2 only Buy 2 Suave or Suave Men Body Wash, 15 oz, $2.49 reg. price
= Pay $3.28, get $3ECBS ($0.14 each) Buy 2 Maybelline Fit Me Blush, $5.99 reg. price Buy 2
$1.50 each Buy 1 Scunci 12 Ct. $0.00 FREE SEPTEMEBER BEAUTY AWARD COUPON Now I have these coupons on my cart, so you may not have these coupons on your cart, but you can still save a lot if you calculate it. Now I did use some of my extra bucks from last week, so my out of pocket (OOP) was less than $8. I noticed that my extra bucks did not appear onto my card after purchase. Even when I picked up the items and it was scanned that it was already picked up, it took a while for the extra bucks to populate. So, if you were thinking of using extra bucks after you’ve picked up an item and buy something in store, you may have a problem. I did call customer service and asked about the process and they said that it could take up to 24 hours for the extra bucks to appear. I also noticed that I got the wrong Suave. The online store did not identify which suave participated in the $3 extra bucks reward. I was hoping they would just credit me the $3 extra bucks for the inconvenience, but the lady said I would have to go back to the store and return the item and purchased the right one instead. Also, since it was so much cheaper online, I went and ordered the item online for me to pick up. Got the men SUAVE BODY wash. My items were neatly packaged in a brown bag. I appreciated how neat it looked and how well they were able to find my order. I like the convenience of ordering online and picking the products up versus having the items shipped. But I value my extra bucks, and I think I would rather go in-store to make sure I picked the right item and if I have a question that I would talk to a live person instead. Because any issues I had online for ordering my products through the website or through the app, I had to call customer service or send them a message online. I didn’t like that. It wasn’t convenient and that meant I would have had to go back to the store the second time around just to get the right product. So, in conclusion I’m on only going to order products online if I need to pick up something without worrying about extra bucks. But if I want to make sure I get my mullah in return for getting the right products, I’m going in store. Who wants to go with me?!
Last day peeps! If you can’t go to the store, order online for pick up. And if they don’t have what you want online, get something else and exchange it for the one you want when they’re stocked. CVS has a beauty club where when you meet at most $30 with the products, the club will reward you. Each month is different. It can be a nail polish, cotton balls, or even dental floss! The cool part is that I often use coupons, so I don’t actually spend $30, but the total of the products I would purchase prior to coupons equate about $30. Which qualifies anyone who uses coupons or not for the freebie. Isn’t that awesome? This month I chose dental floss. I’m running out… L O L!

Woohoo!!! Happy shopping! WTH is Maskne? This word, Maskne, never even existed before COVID-19 hit. Maskne is pretty much acne caused by wearing a mask. I didn’t know what the heck was causing me to break out so much! Then, I realized it was from wearing a mask all day at work. My skin would get better when I was at home and my face was free from irritation and bacteria growth from my mask. I searched the Internet for solutions to clear my acne. I even started to use Curology. Curology is great but as soon as I put that mask on for a 12 hour shift, I came home with a new pimple. My face did not get a break! For me, I scar from breakouts. And my breakout scars would take FOREVER to heal. I went as far as using skin lightners/ brightners/ whitening (you name it) to make it all go away. There was not a lot information about maskne at the time (2021). Then one day, I came across a dermatologist who suggested to spray your mask with her products that would prevent growth from wearing the mask. I thought, “Wow! What a great idea.” Her products (and no, I don’t remember right now what and who the dermatologist was, but when I remember, I will definitely share the info) was a little pricey for me, so I tried my own attempts to ‘disinfect’ my mask before and after wearing it. First, I tried antibacterial spray with lovely eucalyptus and lavender scent. I figured I should make my mask smell good if I’m to spray it… unfortunately, it took too long for the mask to dry. By the time I needed to put it on, I was wearing a wet mask and the smell of the oils was gross. The Lysol disinfectant spray didn’t make it any better. Then, on another day, I forgot my antibacterial spray, so guess what I used? Rubbing alcohol… yup! Yes, I did. Go ahead, say it… I already know and I did it anyways… boy was it the worse thing to do ever! I literally sprayed my mask with rubbing alcohol (misting it lightly) but strong enough to leave me breathless and dizzy! DO NOT DO THIS!! It was like in the movies when a person gets kidnapped with a handkerchief over their face, except I was doing it to myself. Almost fainted gosh darn it! After that, I threw the mask away and instead just used a alcohol wipe to wipe my face instead. It didn’t leave a strong smell, cleaned my face and it didn’t have any breakouts. I did have dry and sensitive skin though, my scars didn’t go away, I couldn’t wear any make up, and my skin was peeling and turning red from the alcohol… it was harsh on the skin. So now, I was looking for something to protect my skin. I searched “skin protection”. There were lotions, creams, face masks (Made of silk) and thin Face-masks with silver antimocrobial coating on it. It just got more and more expensive and luckily I was able to return the ones that just did not work out for my skin. And so thankful for sales, coupons, discounts and return policies. Especially at CVS, Amazon, Target, and Walmart. These were my go to places and had the things I was looking for - just not the right routine/material for me. Finally, I found something that did everything above. And I’ve been using it ever since. Here’s what I love about this product:
When I do start to see or feel a pimple coming, I clean and spray with my SkinSmart spray and then I put an acne dot on my pimple.
The Liva Clean Acne dot is one of the better acne dots I’ve used and have continued to use for it’s price and effectiveness.
Affordability is always the #1 criteria on my list. One silver microbial Facemask I got was like $12 for two! And they are so thin, it just falls right off my face and if I lose the darn thing then that’s $12 out the window… returned. Used bandaids and skin prep stuff before I found the spray and the dot. Totally love these products and I hope you do, too! Do you have or had maskne? What’s your regimen? What have you used? Would love to hear your thoughts on these products if you try them. With gas prices coming down at least 4% in San Diego in the last two weeks, FREE is still FREE and this girl happily appreciates it.
